Bloomfield House was founded by Helen Tea and Lim Ung in 2006 — Helen bringing an intensely caring heart and hands-on dedication to run the home day to day, and Lim providing the operational backbone behind the scenes.
From the beginning, Bloomfield House was purpose-built for memory care — not a general assisted living facility that added a memory unit, but a home designed from the ground up for residents living with dementia and complex neurological conditions.
Their son David grew up inside these walls. He went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude in Biochemistry, earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and specialize in neurological rehabilitation across outpatient, inpatient, and ICU settings.
When Helen and Lim began considering retirement, David stepped in as Chief Operating Officer — combining his love for patient care with a passion for leadership, and building on the foundation his parents spent 20 years creating.
